See here for a full article on the vitamins and minerals that your body needs.
Although winter is over, and spring is here in full swing, it’s still important to be providing your body with as many vitamins and minerals as possible. You can’t ever get enough. Nourishing yourself is your first step towards a healthy life. And you can’t expect to just get away with exercising and not eating well.
There’s one vitamin that we need more than anything…
Vitamin C
This is the absolute essential for your body, helping it to “operate properly”.
So what does vitamin C help and contribute to?
I always remember feeling ill as a child, especially if it was just the common cold bothering me, and my Gran would give me an orange, or one of her infamous “sweet clems”.
That’s because vitamin C “contributes to normal collagen formation for the function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, skin, gums and teeh
PAYDAY TREATS
Two weeks ago on Thursday was payday, and I treated myself to a small handful of Forever products to 1. keep me going thtough revision and exam season, and 2. to kickstart my weight loss.
With madly saving my waves for France in September, I have decided to wait on doing the C9 or Clean9 – our version of a detox. So instead, and after watching a Forever team member talk about it, I’m going to do a 30 day fix. For this I’ll swap one of my 3 meals for a serving of our Forever Life Ultra shake, which contains Aminotein. I’ve chosen the vanilla flavour over the chocolate one, as I’ve heard it’s better, especially if you mix it with fruit.
Now as I’m going to the gym, I’m hoping to see some real results from both the shake and the exercise. Not quite sure if I’ll ever have a “summer body” but I’d love to lose at least a stone, and tone my arms and my legs.
I am, of course, hoping to keep all of this up when I’m in France. And with Forever being an international company, I shouldn’t find it difficult at all. In terms of exercise, I don’t expect to be joining any sort of gym while I’m out there, but hopefully I will be doing plenty of walking and maybe I will even vet a handle on cycling (finally).
On another note, I’ve found some awesome recipes on Pinterest that all use the Forever Life Ultra powder (some use the vanilla, the others chocolate). These shakes, smoothies, and protein-boosting snacks, all sound delicious. I cannot wait for my delivery to come, it will be great to try these recipes out over Easter, and hopefully I will be suitably energy-boosted, getting me through revision smoothly.
I also purchased two styling gels for a customer, as requested. These gels really seem to work wonders for her, and I’m glad I have been able to find a product that suits her and that she really likes using.
As I’ve run out of shower gel, I’ve purchased a bottle of the Hand & Face Soap, a real favourite of mine when I joined the company. It’s super gentle on the skin, and really gives it that nourishment it deserves. I also find it helps to clear my skin up when it’s spotty due to my hormones, and keeps it super soft.
Along with taking a shake a day, I’m going to be taking one of our drinking gels. No Forever business owner will try and convince you that the gel tastes amazing, because frankly, it’s probably the worst drink you’ll ever try. However, the benefits outweigh the taste here, and once you know how good drinking Aloe Vera gel is for your body and your digestion, you’ll be on that 120ml a day, every day. The gels are practically pure aloe, but I have chosen the Forever Freedom gel, since I am exercising and need help with joint flexibility and repairing my muscles after exercise. Freedom combines aloe Vera with glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM, and is orange-flavoured. It also contains vitamin C which “contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue”, providing “great nutritional support for sports and active lifestyles.
I have also picked up a tub of Forever Lean capsules, known as one of our “fat-fighting” weapons. Lean helps reduce the body’s absorption of calories from fats and carbohydrates, as well as helping the body regulate bloody sugar for a normal metabolism. A great companion to my planned weight loss.
What will your payday treats be?
Forever offer so many products, and the Sonya makeup range is on my wish-list. There will need to be a few more paydays before that happens!
RECIPES
Now I did say last week on my Facebook page that I would share some recipes that use some Forever products, particularly the Life Ultra Shake Powder.
On Pinterest, I found a recipe for Oatmeal Delight…and it sounds delicious. So here…
- 1 scoop Forever Life Ultra Vanilla
- 1 tbsp Forever Bee Honey
- 2 tbsp instant oats
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 10 oz skimmed milk
Blend until the shake is smooth, and sip away the 300 calories. Delight in this meal replacement, perfect for a breakfast on a rushed morning.
Another recipe for you is this one for Peanut Butter Power Treats…
- 1/2 scoop of Forever Life Ultra Chocolate or Vanilla
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup of either: raisins, fresh coconut, or granola/oatmeal
Mix ingredients together, and roll into a ball. These treats are perfect as energy boots pre-gym, or to keep you going through the day! I’m definitely going to be trying these for next term at university.
And lastly, how about some protein pancakes?
- 1 scoop Forever Life Ultra Vanilla
- 1 banana
- 1 egg
- 30g ground flaxseed
- 1 tsp coconut flour
- 50ml milk
Blend all the above ingredients, using either a blender or a handheld whisk. Heat oil in a pan (coconut oil is the healthiest option), and pour in the mixture to your desired thickness. Cook the pancakes on each side until they are golden brown. You could top these with natural yoghurt, fresh berries, or Forever’s own Bee Honey.
I also made my own shakes:
PAMPER NIGHTS
Also featured in the magazine are Forever-themed pamper parties and girls’ nights in. I would love to do one of these, so if anyone reading fancies a pamper party, comment below or message me on Facebook (Anna Mather). Being a Forever Business Owner, I am fully “qualified” to host one of these for you, in the comfort of your own home.
At pamper parties and girls’ nights in, we can do “girly” things, like massages, watch films, and do makeovers. Fun stuff, hehe.
There are some great products we can use and try out. My particular favourites are the Sonya creams, a favourite of my mum’s too, as well as our moisturisers, propolis crème, and the gelly: my lifesaver.
For now, check out my page on Facebook ‘Forever Kulayrosas’ and keep updated with me on @ku_layrosas on Instagram.
Love,
Anna
