fashion :: the approach

As the new season approaches, it is time that we brace ourselves for the super pieces on the radar.

If you’re in need of a wardrobe update, look no further. Urban Outfitters have some great pieces, particularly dresses at the moment. As do ASOS, which is always great for super stylish bargains. Topshop have been lacking in flair at the moment, but I am sure that when Spring hits they will be back in full force.

Top trends:

Crochet

Ok, River Island have some A-MAZING crochet pieces at the moment. I was so surprised when I headed in there the other day. Although a little bit pricey, they are definitely worth it. I love that River Island’s clothing looks great on all sizes whether you’re an 8, a 12, or a 16.

Bomber

If you don’t already have a bomber jacket in your wardrobe then I don’t know what you spend your money on… I purchased one for 30 euros one summer in France and although I did not wear it a lot at first, I always do now. It looks perfect over a white shirt or a simple tee. They just update your look to give it a much more cosy yet fashion forward feel.

Adornment

Accessories are always important. And recently, I have been in favour of more rather than less. I shared Coco Chanel’s “put on as many pieces as you want and then take one piece off” with my gran and I do think it’s a great rule to stick by when going out. However, for daytime wear, just go all out. Tiered necklaces are my favourite, I have just purchased one from byinviteonly (see a previous post). It’s simple and elegant, but will definitely add that little bit of glamour to a simple t-shirt.

Nineties

Check out ASOS if you want perfect 90s pieces, or head to UO for some grunge. WeAreCow is the perfect destination for vintage, off-the-record pieces, as is PopBoutique. Slide on some understated flat platform pumps, your skinniest jeans and your bomber – two trends in one.

Love,

Anna
