The weather is beautiful alllllll over the country at the moment – I’m already sun burnt after an hour or so in the sun in Lancaster, but I’m still smiling!
I’m off to two great events in June: Cherish Conference in Leeds, and Download Festival with my mate. I cannot wait for both.
However, I am a bit stuck clothes wise on what to wear for Download in particular, as it’s constantly outdoor, yet the weather could be changeable over the period of 5 days. I have plenty of t-shirts and blouses that will be perfect, but I need something comfy and lightweight to wear on my bottom half.
So, I set myself a maximum limit spend of £50 and headed to ASOS…
If you don’t love ASOS then I don’t quite know if we can be acquaintances of any kind. I kid, I kid. Kinda… You CANNOT not love it. I also grab such good bargains, and if you’re curvy or a bigger girl like me, then ASOS Curve, is a perfect line that is so flattering, anddddd, there’s plenty to choose from – so we’re not left out, as usual.
First, with my limit of £50, I headed to the sale. Like I said, ASOS always have good bargains, but I’m not sure if I actually picked anything up from there this time…
The total came to £57, I think I did pretty well!!! (especially for me…). Here are my picks:
Piece 1
I was after something comfy and easy, that would look good under a checked shirt or with one of my band t-shirts for the festival. This jersey playsuit will look sweet with my converse, plenty of jewellery and bed-hair. Perfect festival look. This was £18, which, if I I’m honest, is a bit more than I would have liked to pay for such a simple item, however, I have so many ideas for how to wear it that I think I’ll make it worth the splash.
Piece 2
This is the second playsuit I purchased, which cost me £25. It looks oh so comfy, and easy to style. I can’t wait to just throw it on on a summer’s day. I can imagine it’ll look cute with my mustard mac and wellies for any June showers at download, yet could be dressed up with a pair of tights and a nice jacket and boots for Cherish.
Piece 3
This gold beauty cost me £12 in the sale, yet was only £14 originally, absolute bargain!!! I used to think off-the-shoulder Bardot style tops didn’t suit me, however, as long as there isn’t a mass of material I am usually okay. I cannot wait to style this with my sunglasses, a a half-up-half-down hairstyle and lots of rings. It will look sweet for both Download and Cherish so we will see. You can be sure you’ll be seeing plenty of this top on my Instagram – let’s hope it fits perfectly!
Piece 4
I love these shorts! They look like they’ll be perfect for all summer long. Comfy yet sophisticated, these shorts should be quite flattering. These were £15, a price I was happy to pay for something so elegant and wearable.
I can’t wait to share my experiences at both evens, as well as my outfits of course!
Love,
Anna
