*This was written on Monday*
I’m writing this from the back seat of a full-to-the-brim car. I own all the stuff of course. I’m questioning how I have gathered this much c-r-a-p but I guess it’s too late to question it now. (This is the second time in 3 weeks I’ve “moved out”, lol.)
I can’t quite believe my first year at Lancaster University is over. But, I’m leaving feeling so grateful, so “blessed”, and so honoured to go to such an awesome university. I know I’m so very lucky to love my uni, and I think everyone probably knows that by now – I go on about it enough.
I’m sat in a car, yet I miss my bedroom. Weirdly, I have always enjoyed moving in and out of rooms – I like the “fresh start” feel to moving. I said it was weird. It was just so nice to move stuff and decorate a room, within reason. And I did go a bit mad with probably 30+ photos decorating two notice boards, my door frame and the wall just about my head.
But when you move away from home, it’s important to create a place of sanctuary and peace. Looking at these photos when I couldn’t sleep late at night reminded me of the amazing people I have around me, and am lucky enough to call my friends. No matter where you go, people will always be there.
Anyway, since I have passed this year with a 2:1, I’ll be continuing with French & Linguistics next year. I’m already rather giddy about second year as I’ve many things to do alongside my course. As ever, I’ll keep you updated!
Here’s a few photos from the day I moved out.
